Maybe, I thought she was just awkward socially and reserved. Maybe she doesn't trust humanity, but she feels more open to mythical creatures, the way some people love animals while they fear and hate humanity. But she could easily be either or! maybe both.
See I like this though. If you think about it, if she is autistic, it is subtle. It isn't in your face, it isn't going look at me I'm this stereotype or that. Its just... you see it in her actions and who she is. She shows it. Thats how you are suppose to do a good well written character.
Thats the kind of design that makes people debate and question a good story for decades to come.
