Family sharing?

🚨BROKE ♥♥♥♥♥ ALERT🚨
I noticed that the game has the Family Sharing tag on its store page, but I’m running into an issue: even though my friend has bought the game and he is in the same family as me, I can't download and play it. As in it doesn't even appear in the library if I search for it. Can anyone confirm if the game truly is shareable or if there's a mistake on my end

Something wrong on your end. I just logged into my neice account to see if the game showed up for her under family share and it is there and downloadable for her.

Is it necessary? I say it because another family member bought Metaphor and that one I can download no problem

Works for me and my partner. Might be an issue with either - the family, or some regional locks? The easiest would probably be to remove and re-add the friend to the family just to be sure it is not a family group issue.

I have this issue as well. I bought the game from another site and activated it on steam. Steam doesn't seem to have acknowledged that the game was added to my library even though I can play it. If someone in my Steam Family views the store page it doesn't show that I even own it.

Kicking someone out of a Steam Family is a silly suggestion as they cannot be re-added to a family group for 100 days.

Finally resolved it. My friend got kicked out of my family for some reason lol. I invited him back and now I can download the game. Thread can be closed now

When I install it from my steam family, it only shows a "Purchase" button instead of a play button. On my PC and on my Steamdeck.

I can dl indeed but it still telling me that i need to buy it
