It’s better to get more luck or agility.
Or more Vit and Def so you can be invincible.
It changes completely in late game.
I regularly do that now. Even before I hit act 2.
I love the d/p system, so I've been playing this game as *being hit is not allowed*, so defense means little.
Because some weapons scale off of Vit like Gustave/Verso using Lancerim for example maybe instead of calling people idiots you learn the game a bit better first. NG+ unlocking them to A and ditching the 9999 dmg cap and stuff is melting. There are tons and tons of buildis in this game no one way is wrong.
My favorite Pokemon are Bulbasaur, Butterfree, and Articuno, and I don't care about EVs and IVs, and never have.
I'm just having fun.
lol no you won't get one shotted, even on expert.
My team's weapons scale with some blend of Vitality, defence and agility atm, so that's what I've been focusing on. I haven't put really any points into might for anyone, because it only gives 2-3 points of power, whereas my other stats give 1, but also boost everything else as a bonus. And with my builds so far, NOTHING has one shot me except the chromatic lancelier when I first fought him many MANY hours ago at level 3, which, yeah, that's to be expected. They're meant to do that, because you either need to do them no damage, or circle back later when you're stronger and can actually take a hit from them.
And again, on expert mode. So your comment about getting 1 shot even if you focus on vitality on normal mode is just plain full of beans.
All luck with the roulette and solo boosting pictos/luminas. Let fate decide how strong each attack is and pray you don't make even 1 mistake xD
I don't know how it will fare against some of the lategame optional enemies, but for the main story at least vitality builds do work - and not just on normal mode either, even on expert mode it can work. I've been doing a playthrough on expert mode with no dodging/parrying at all, and I'm nearing the end of act 2 and vitality tanking has worked fine for me - the last few bosses I've done were even beaten on the first attempt.
