Every new play, your characters get older and more crippled. Expedition 44 their backs hurt, someone is afib, and they have to stop to take rests every few minutes.
Enemies gets stronger and can get some new items.
Everything carries over.
The only things reset are quest progression and relationship levels. The game very clearly identifies that when you select the New Game+ option.
For anyone rolling into this post wondering how to even get to New Game+ - resume your save after beating the game. You'll find yourself nearby an expedition flag. Use the expedition flag and you'll see there's a new option: select New Game+.
The game will then pop a window that explicitly identifies what is about to occur and gives you the option to proceed or back out.
Do we know yet if NG+ stacks monster difficulty or is it always just there after a completion of the story so you can start over?
yeah there is romance for Sciel and Lune. To romance Lune you have reject Sciel during her level 3 relationship conversation or it locks you out of the lune romance.
Something surprising you do keep is the underwater ability for esquie. As soon as you can swim you can just collect the lumina from those glowing spots.
The monsters are more difficult than they were in NG, but the game is assuming you didn't do any of the optional content. If you completed all the optional content before beating the game you'll be way stronger than the monsters.
hear me out
actually you can get dirty with Sciel and Lune, the personal time with Lune we "composed music" then "did what needed to be doing" and happily returned to the others, "Sciel knew and smiled"
this was after the naughy conversation / event with Sciel
Endless Tower once you can fly. It is the only worth while end game xp farm.
Sirene's Fortress, the flying dancers early on, set up characters w/ a heavy aimed shot boosts and you'll be raking in easy exp, i went there and completed it before going to Visage and raked in a lot of Exp on those alone. this was lv 40-46 range on my run.
two high lvl weapons are there
