How to stop enemies from healing?
Is there a way to interrupt Pélerin's healing? I'm currently dealing 9,999 damage, which is the maximum as far as I know. The enemies in this area already have tons of health and the enemies keep healing, making the fights last forever.

Is there a trick? Am I missing something?

You can come back later when you progressed a bit. It's a high level area and if you can't outpace their healing with damage, you can't really kill them. Maybe if you manage to stun-lock them with breaks or use delay-turn with Sciel often enough with enough stacks. But the simplest solution is to come back later.

There's a point in the game where you get to lift the 9999 damage cap, you can't miss it if you keep progressing.

Just wait until you get the end game. I found this post because I have bosses healing themselves for 500k each time they attack, and I have no clue how to outpace it.
I can't think of who that is immediately, but every boss that heals so far seems easy to prevent. Chromatic guy with blade arms? Just don't get hit. Renoir? Destroy the things he summons.

A. Kill them before they heal
B. The frozen hearts area is labeled danger because you aren’t expected to be able to do it yet,

Parry the attack

Don't Pélerin's heal when you hit them with the same element they have taken up? Just hit them with a different element.

They literally do though. In fact the skill monoko gets from them is called Pelerin heal where you use their heal ability.

Sorry, I should have made it clearer which area I'm in. Yes, I mean the optional snow area after recruiting the last party member, and the enemies look a bit like grim reapers.

Thanks for all the tips, especially that you can do more damage later on and that portals marked as "Danger" are endgame content. I wasn't sure if these areas/quests are missable if you progress with the main story.

not necessarily endgame content. at some point the danger warning goes away when the game decides its not overwhelming anymore
