[BUG] Barrier Breaker vs Medalum
This looks like a bug, unless I'm missing something crucial. I was testing the damage output for both weapons, but for some reason Medalum does consistently more damage than Barrier Breaker even though it has less power.

My weapon stats:
Medalum lvl 25 - 2683 power
Barrier Breaker lvl 25 - 3338 power

Method (enter virtuose stance before any of the following):
1. hit free aim body shot (note the damage)
2. hit percee (note damage)
3. hit stendhall (note damage)

Through all these tests Medalum demonstrates higher damage. I have 100% crit rate, so it's not a factor and I also tried to do these tests on different monsters to remove weakness/resistance from equation. Funny enough, even on monsters with physical resist Medalum does more damage.

As well as Stendhal which makes no sense to do that much dmg, its a 4 cost (to unlock) skill.
Im 99% sure both this skill and Medalum are actually bugged and need fixing, if they are not bugged, they need to be nerfed to the GROUND

Yeah, there's no way the damage offered by Medalum is intentional, it's not the tooltip that is wrong. It deals 2 to 2.5 times the damage it's supposed to do compared to other weapons of the same strength, in the same conditions, and nothing in the tooltip says anything about it; which combined to the fact that it would still be one of the best weapon for Maelle even without the bug, and that you can get in Act 1 for literally no effort, it completely breaks your party balance and the fights balance for the rest of the game if you use it.

Maelle ends up being an auto include making other party member feels less desirable than they should, and while for other characters there's a point and an excitement about getting new weapons and testing those weapons, for Maelle if you get Medalum with the Arena fight, the rest of the weapons may as well not exist (at least if you only care about the end result / damage and don't care that its result is from a bug ).

Agreed
At first when I've heard somebody mentioning that Medulum does x2-x2.5 damage more than other weapons, I didn't believe it.
Then I took Medalum and BB maxed, the BB had 11k ATK, while Medalum was capped at 9k, and the end-result with under absolutely the same conditions was exactly as you're describing, it was significantly less, with Medalum doing 122mil, while BB was sitting only at 60mil. Truly a mess.

You can make every char OP with enough investment, takes some grinding to get them all up there but they can all solo the game.

Hmm, maybe it applies Virtuoso twice? Can someone test the damage after going out of Virtuoso and entering it again? Is it still just as high? Or only the initial attack?

That's basically the bug, it always applies the 2x damage bonus on top of everything else. A simple coding error soon to be patched. Or they just leave it in because balance goes out the window in Act 3 regardless so they might just not give a damn.
