Can I set PS button prompts in the game?

So this game is pretty heavy on QTE from what I've gathered, but I couldn't get used to the Xbox prompts even if my life depended on it. I've been a PS guy my whole life and had a few Nintendo consoles, where the layout is reverse to the Xbox one.

More and more PC games give you the option to pick the button layout of your prefered console, can I do that here too? It's very important for me and will likely affect purchase.

Yes. U must create game.ini file (just normal .txt and change extention to .ini) with this inside:

[CommonInputPlatformSettings_Windows CommonInputPlatformSettings]
DefaultGamepadName=PS5
bCanChangeGamepadType=False

make it read only (if not game may erase/change it) and put it in C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Sandfall\Saved\Config\Windows

Literally just disable steam controller input and you'll get PS button icons.
