Plenty of ultrawide and extreme ultrawide players out there. Check in on the Nexus page every now and then to see if it gets a mod to fix this.
In the mean time, just set it to a 16:9 resolution and play in windowed mode.
Which setting exakt would be the 16:9 ?
As in, what mode and which resolution? I went through so many combinations and nothing fixes the fov bug, they all make the gameplay itself cut off half.
Thanks for your comment!
It fixes the FOV bug and i can play with full resolution.
You could try this mod if you’re up for it.

It does a few things including claiming to fix FOV of Ultra Wide resolutions.
I’m using it as well but playing in 4K DLSS Quality and can confirm it unlocks cutscene FPS.
- That certainly helped me a lot! I don't know if I'll lose the achievements or not, but I can play normally. It was very strange playing with the character showing half his face in the dialogs!
The ClairObscurFix is still helpful though in that you can set it to enable the developer console for the game.
After starting the game I used a command to set the resolution afterwards using
The resolution got reset once more after I actually started the game, but I used the command again and then was able to play just fine in 1440p for a couple of hours.
Sucks having to set this myself manually on each game start but at least I can play it in my desired windows resolution.
