Clair Obscur, or Oblivion?
Hi everyone. The title explains itself. With limited time and money, I’ll be able to buy and play one or the other game.

COE33 certainly seems to have more interesting imagery and a compelling, high-concept story. But I’ve never played any Elder Scrolls, and the Oblivion remake looks like a good place to experience that. The original Oblivion game has fans who’ve sunk thousands of hours into it, whereas it sounds like the linearity of COE33 will keep it interesting for just a single 30-40 hour playthrough.

What are your thoughts?

Buy a gamepass trial for 2 dollar and play both. Decide when the sub is over which you want to spend money on and buy that one.

Just get gamepass and play both and decide if you want to buy one or the other, or both at a later time. Its what the service is for

I followed your sage advice and subscribed to gamepass. Thanks for the wise counsel! Clair Obscur is downloading now.

Oblivion is in all honesty not a great game.
There's a reason why the jank that became memes is all that you see people talk about.

They're totally different games, but I have a soft spot for turn based rpg's so I'll take clair over any bethesda game.
oblivion all the way

Am I missing something? Did they completely revamp the gameplay in Oblivion so that it's compelling to play? As far as I know that's a graphical upgrade to a ho-hum "RPG".
