Nice game, but the volley minigame sucks and is game-breaking.
As a completionist, I find this the worst RNG-based minigame — parries often don't register correctly, and even consistent positioning sometimes fails for no reason. If there’s anything like this later in the game, I’ll just drop it altogether.

before you drop the came consider looking around Nexusmods there's a mod that increases the parry window slightly or significantly. But I get it if you consider it cheating and would rather not play the game that way.

For what it's worth, the Gestral Beach minigames all give the same kind of reward, which is easily skipped if you don't care about it.

I suck at these kinds of minigames, and it took me a couple dozen tries or so to beat the hardest one, which isn't so bad really. If I could give any tips, it really helped me to know that it's actually a bad idea to hug the top of the raft. If you're against the "wall", the game sometimes doesn't register you turning diagonally to hit the gestrals coming from the sides, and you end up shooting a sideways attack instead that whiffs. Also, if you know you're going to miss a gestral, it's better to just let it hit you than try, since that can create a cooldown where you're unable to hit the next gestral either.

You can sometimes get lucky and he'll just keep spamming attacks from the same direction, which helps.
^What's the reward, is it worth it?

The beach minigames give swimsuit outfits for your characters.

Always find it funny that they hid the gooner swimsuits on intentionally frustrating mini games.

Claims completionist then complains about putting in effort. Make it make sense. Btw, cleared the thing you're talking about in six tries with only a single one getting through on the clear. Took maybe 5 minutes.

Name checks out.

They're not exactly gooning material either. Like, it's something that would have been used in the 60's.

And that's the best part. They do all of these to end up dissatisfied. Literally there's another thread right now having this exact reaction xD
Trouble with the trolley ey?

Attack has huge cone.
The last one is tough and i do lose some of the gestrals with the back ground but its all part of the challenge and fun.

I find it personally amusing that the character with the skimpiest swimsuit is Monoco.

Dude, it's very easy, and makes sense, you just need to face the ball and use your analog stick. I got the hardest one on my 3rd try, and each try takes like 10-15 seconds. Have you played a video game before? You claim to be a completionist, but do you know what that even means? Wow, just wow. You should quit the game because when you find out the Paintress has been in your party the whole time and actually fight her youre not going to be able to beat her.
