I'm not even on the third act yet though.
Third act is mostly story like cutscenes
So, as mentioned, Act III has one main mission basically.
But: you can max out relationship levels, and some companions give you relationship quests, Maelle's quest is pretty long for example. There are quite a few entirely optional regions / levels that you can now explore (you need Esquie to learn how to fly again which does not happen until Act III and there are various locations only reachable if you fly there), you can find special bosses, get a lot more useful gear and some of the best pictos this game has to offer.
There is also a combat arena with 33 fights in total against more and more challenging enemies.
So if you explore and do all the game has to offer than Act III can be pretty long, or you head straight to the final mission. You can also do stuff later (after the endgame), but I would recommend you explore the world first and go to all these optional locations, then you have a lot of content still ahead of you, only it's all side content.
