Try restarting the game completely. I have read people claiming that dodging wasn't working until they restarted.

I did try to restart the game and this problem has been persistent for 3 days

Sometimes a debuff (chains), maybe a picto or weapon?

On Nexus. There is a mod that improves the block time frame.

If it's an attack that hits all 3 at the exact same time, then it has to be a bug. But if it hits one at a time, then likely a timing issue.

I have the same bug, but for me it doesn't just happen for AOE, sometimes one of my characters decides they can't parry/dodge properly, but only when I have 3. When I am down to two they both work properly. Just parried Sprong AOE and Lune died while the other two did the counter attack 😅

Yeah, there was this one Chromatic enemy out in the open continent (I don't know what it's called) that has a jumping aoe attack. Now unless I'm mistaken, I recall from the tutorial that you're supposed to jump when you see a yellow flash of light. However, for this particular boss, as soon as the yellow light flashes, I will jump but the attack doesn't actually happen until a second and a half after the flash. So what ends up happening is that it will attack just as everyone has landed back on the ground and they all take massive's amount of damage.

I did managed to beat it after a few retries when I delayed jumping after the yellow flash. But yeah, it is misleading and most likely a bug. Now I can't help but wonder, for all of the people that are having issues with parrying, are their timings off or are they experiencing similar bugs?

The flash of light isn't the exact timing to jump, it's a warning that the attack coming can only be avoided by jumping so I agree it's a bit misleading. But the bug we're talking about is AOE attacks that can be dodged/parried where 2/3 characters successfully dodge/parry but the 3rd doesn't even though all 3 do the animation. Our timing can't be off if the other 2 characters dodge or even parry and counterattack.
