I didn't know so many gamers are so lazy.
I keep reading and seeing posts about how hard the QTEs in this game are. What is wrong with those people? Can't they just PRACTICE? I sucked at parrying at first, on normal. Game was kicking my ass. 6 hours later I've beat the Chromatic Abbest after 25 minutes of intense parrying. I got good. Why can't those people?

That's a huge negative for the game if it's a long slog like that

He beat an optional boss you are not intended to beat until near the end of act 1 or the beginning of act 2. Good accomplishment but not what most people are going to do

Are you insane? The Chromatic Abbest is an option boss you can reach after the 1st area. You can't jump in an fight it. It took me 3 hours to get to the area in was in. And 3 more hours to get to a level where I could even damage it.

Or are you referring to the 25 minute battle? Too long for you? It takes that long at level 14 because it's not supposed to be fought that early, unless you can parry it's attacks.

My point it I started this game sucking at the parry mechanic, and then I practiced and now I'm good at it.

Of course most people aren't going to do that. But my point is that it's possible, if you practice parrying enough. In theory, you could beat this whole game at level 1, if you're a parrying god.

I don't have a problem with QTE's in general. I just don't want them in my TURNED-BASED RPG. I haven't played one with them since the OG Mario RPG. I hated it then, and I'm sure I suck at it now. I have a big enough backlog that I don't have to spend the hours required to practice this gimmick.

That's fair. But you could just leave. If the game's not for you, it's not for you. But to come and complain that it's too difficult, when it's not, is absurd. Most people who say that simply don't want to have to make an effort.

Well 92% of reviews are positive on steam, and on metacritic, it's like 9.5 on player rewies or something; so clearly, the vocal part of the players who say they don't like the dodge/parry part are a fairly small minority right now.

it's not if he enjoyed it and felt satisfied by beating it.

If the QTEs weren't measured in half split-seconds and the prompts always displayed on random parts of the screen, maybe. but by the time I see there's a QTE, it's already over...

Bruh, I got a job... a family... "I spent 6 hours on something, everyone else should too" just isn't a realistic point to make...
