It started out rough...

...at first I wasn't feeling the combat. The Active Turn based stuff with the counters and doges wasn't working for me. and I thought the story was too mellow dramatic.

BUT now, 16 hours in and starting ACT 2 I am freaking hooked.

The combat is so fresh and exciting. With the different build, weapon combinations and Pictos, it is a lot of fun tailoring the characters to your style. Once I started nailing those counters, it made every encounter a blast.

And the story, man I love it. I find myself constantly thinking about it when I'm not playing and I don't normally care about story. It's all builds and gameplay loops for me, but Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is cooking with this adventure.

Such a great game. One of the best I've played in ages.
