It's a 9/10 or a 9.5/10, simply because some enemies and bosses got some mad ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that I despise (badly telegraphed attacks and cheap shield spamming, just as examples).

To me it's held back by the dodgy platforming, small party size, lack of loot (some equipable armour etc. would be nice! Gets a bit boring just getting pictos, extra health tints, or cosmetics), no mini-map, and the dodgy save system (why is there no manual saving? Seriously!?)

I can agree on the platforming, feels clunky at best, but there are enough pictos and lumina caches to find to build your character any way you like.

Remove shields with skills, It's not only parry/dodge, there is a tactical aspect too.

Be more attentive, I don't know what else can help you with attacks recognition, seems a skill issue of sorts.

let maelle learn a certain skill which removes all shields.
and ... if you only complain from act 3 on about shields have you not found/met yet the Chromatic Hexga where maelle is essential with her Breaking Rules skill to even beat Chromatic Hexga

-1 or -1.5 points for flickering, ghosting, AA, forced upscaling, high hardware requirements for a game looking like 2016... and other UE "things", for me now its a solid 8. Need mods and community patches for this.

you are way too graphic spoiled. it aswell seems you didnt played any games in or before 2016. because this game looks way better then any other game from those years. expecially face expression wise etc.

and i only play on medium graphics (well, i tweaked here and there like low shadows to have high texture settings) cause i have only a rtx 2060 super.

ghosting is the fault of your screen, not the game.
maybe you should read about screen tearing/ghosting and learn that this is only screen related and not the games fault.

Dont gaslighting me buddy, im playing on oled and i know what ghosting caused by screen looks like (eg VA LCD) and ghosting in UE games is caused by forced AA like TAA or any upscaling methot like dlss (DLAA), tearing is caused mostly by turned off vsync/gsync/freesync and it is display related thats true, but tearing also can be caused by bad frametime in game engine (stutters).

like i said, i have only a rtx 2060 super and the whole 11 hours i´ve played so far had i not even 1 stutter nor have i screen tearing or ghosting because i know what vsync is and how to set it properly up.

all the games you´ve mentitioned has not as nearly as good facial expressions nor nearly as good looking background scenery (aka only PNG at best and its horribly noticeable).

tho i know that devs was lazy on this game aswell aka not testing the new gpu generation properly and if the game works on it.

nowadays goes it always like:
we test min specs and recommended specs and everything inbetween throughly.
and then is there always the thinking in the devs head which is "why would we need to test any gpu generation which is 40xx and higher, it should work fine right? they are considered high end gpu´s.
that is where the problem is, devs think theres no need to test on the new gpu generation and it seems they do not learn whenever the new gpu generation gets issues. they then have to test why the heck the 40xx and co. having issues and need to patch.

so, while the majority plays the game fine on min speccs, recommended speccs and everything in between get you high end PC peoples trouble.

its been always like that, has been always like this and this will probably NEVER EVER change because dev´s think for some reason "those gpus are super powerfull, they can handle it easily" and then nothing is optimized for those gpus because why optimizing anything, they should be powerful lenough right?

but hey, you know how everything works ... in your next post will you probably tell me that you work in a IT company or something like that. i am aswell not gaslighting you, you just dont know how to properly set your fps and vsync up. thats simply it.

while i am not able to play on "epic" graphic settings because i know the limits of my PC specc ... which some peoples dont know, have i no issues.
i have a AMD ryzen 5 2600 six cores with 12 threads
a rtx 2060 super
and 32gb dual channel DDR 4 ram.
i traded some graphic settings (aka setted them to low) infavour of better texture graphics and i do not have ANY issues whatsoever.

i mean, i would get issues if i would putt everything on epic which is normal because my PC rig isnt capable to handle that.
anyways, i do not have any ghosting or any frame drops whatsoever.
the game is simply not properly tested on high end gpus because devs lazy.
