It's a normal design choice. You understand that it's an optional area by seeing chromatic in enemy name or when it one shots you. That's said, defeating these enemies early so far was the funniest part in the game for me. No, it does not need a map, it does not need a tracker to track those. Use your head for once.
btw, incase anyone saying "but you dont own the game" ... like in that other topic because some peoples think "steam is the only gaming plattform on earth"

tho am honestly thinking to buy it on steam aswell, its an awesome game. devs which make awesome games deserve support.
Well, if it says "Danger!" you aren't suppose to go there, but you can because of the game's design. The damage cap is the same as any RPG, you're capped until your characters feel strong enough to push passed those barriers and it is story related.
