Problem with ultrawide monitors.
When will the resolution issue for ultrawide monitors be fixed?
It's currently impossible to change the resolution manually, and we have to come up with various workarounds to solve the problem.
I want to play at a resolution of 5120x1440 or 7680x2160 at 240 Hz with correct screen proportions.
Did it really not occur to you to test the game on ultrawide monitors before the release date?
Please fix this issue as soon as possible — I really want to fully enjoy the beauty of the game.

They've stated in their pinned thread at the top that a fix for ultrawide displays is a priority. Fortunately, someone made a fix within the first few hours of the game's release that not only corrects the issue, but also unlocks the cutscene FPS. You can download it here: https://github.com/Lyall/ClairObscurFix

I wasn't going to play until they patched it either since on 32:9 it's effectively unplayable natively, but the fix worked great and the game is amazing.

Additionally, I'd recommend replacing the DLSS dll with an up-to-date one. They're using an older version and the new one makes the game look much better if you've got DLSS turned on, especially in regards to the hair and foliage.

Probably not, those running this type of setup are probably less than 1%.

Might as well be asking them to ensure that the game performs well on smart fridges.

Most likely they will eventually get to it, or a fan will, until then you could play in a resolution that the vast majority already use and enjoy without issue.

Thanks for the answer, it helps. But I hope that this is a temporary solution and soon there will be an official patch that will fix it. Can you give more detailed instructions about updating the dll? Where can I download a newer version?

You can download the newest version here: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-dlss-dll/

Once you have it, just go into your installation folder for the game and navigate to "Sandfall\Plugins\NVIDIA\DLSS\Binaries\ThirdParty\Win64" to find the file to replace.
Downloaded the ClairObscurFix and while it may fix some FOV issues, it didn't fix the issue with changing the resolution (for me at least). I'm playing with borderless gaming app to set a resolution so the game only takes up ~60% of my ultrawide monitor so I can see my discord window, but several times now it's changed resolution to 3840x1080 and the only way to fix it is to find a save point and restart the entire game.

What is that app you're using? I really don't want to play at my full 32:9 either, i want black bars on the sides for 21:9 gaming. You're saying with that gaming app you're able to resize to what you want, although occasionally it changes again?
