Hard to day. If GTA 6 comes out it's just an automatic win.
Personal GOTY for me would be doom dark ages. But game is a contender definitely I think.

So far, yeah. Good plot and a very nice old school jrpg feel. Brings me back to FF6-9.

Doom Dark Ages isn't even out, and neither is GTA6. You are biasing yourself before they even come out. Are you psychic?

So far this is taking it for me. The storyline is so good and with just enough layers to not feel dull, that and only three freaking writers did the entire thing. The audio is top notch, they musicians they got to record everything and the mixers did a KILLER job on it.

The VFX, spells and everything were spot on. The only gripe I had was the over abundance of bloom and fog in some areas. Otherwise this is probably one of the most gorgeous games I have played this year.

Like it's a great game but gta6 will come out at some point this year and that will win from most places most likely. Also not for nothing but it's got a lot of flaws, it's a stuttery mess at times for no real reason, the UI makes it seems like the devs never even played the game. No save slots was a dumb choice, no quest list, no enemy info/bestiary when you need to kill certain enemies to get skills and they only way to tell which ones you have is to use the skill to transform cause knowing the names of a mob doesn't matter. It alienates a lot of turn-based fans cause of the parry/dodge and most of your souls crowd aren't going to play a turn-based game. But I guess it's not like there's only one GOTY award it will take some for sure. I mean popularity counts for some reason and this will be lucky to hit 1mil sold.

You know which ones you need because it has an icon on the enemy HP bar, as it said in the tutorial for Monoco. I had no issues with it, I had almost 30 skills unlocked for him by the end of the game.

I get that you can see when you're in a fight but he has something like 50 skills so you're missing a large amount. Are you just supposed to go back thru the entire game and fight every mob again????

Gotta give them props for creating a very unique world and fun gameplay. They deserve appreciation for this game, its fun.

Likely for me. As long as GTA 6 doesn't release on PC this year (very unlikely), the only real contenders are MindsEye and Borderlands 4.

It's been a while since I found a game this enjoyable. We've still got a long way to go for the year, but I can see this game being GOTY. At the very least, it is definitely a contender.
