Bit of a disgrace that this hasn't been hotfixed.
I have a feeling it's an Unreal Engine issue and will have to be re-coded and patched instead of a hotfix. They'll have to get the HOR+ scaling issue fixed so we don't see cut off scenes, super up-close scenes and bobble-heading as well as being cut off at the bottom preventing us from seeing abilities and whatnot.
It's a pain in the butt is what it is. Hopefully, they'll get on it and patch it/fix it soon.
Fingers crossed. What's weird is UE5 actually has HOR+ built in to the engine and it scales almost flawlessly if used properly. Unsure what the devs did or did not do to get it to work right.
Yeah, I know it's an apples to oranges comparison between the development, but FF7 Rebirth didn't have this issue.
Hopefully someone's working on a patch.
Like I said, it's built into the actual UE5 engine so who knows what they did. I personally think that since the upscaling is forced that that coding messes with the ability to use it properly in widescreen.
