Seems like I was wrong, even in most of the USA it's 16 or 17.

Yeah, basically 90% of the debate here shows that peoples morality is based on what side of the geographic boarder they're on.

If your morality is based on local laws then maybe you never had morality to begin with, because not all laws are just & fair and many laws change and if your morality is based on local laws who is to say you won't just justify something bad later with a law.

I'm not saying this is right or that I Condon it but there are literally thousands of US citizens who go to other countries with a lower drinking age than 21 and drink there, thousands that go to the middle east or some Asian country because the age of consent is 16, 14 or in some middle eastern countries less than 9 years. ♥♥♥♥ some countries or states still allow incest and parts of Japan are one of them though socially it's frowned upon.

Mu point is people are debating morality based on what ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boarders they live between 😂 they need to look inn within themselves and make their own morality, the law is retarded and is often used to abuse the poor while the rich can just pay a fine and walk away free, the law is a punishment for the poor and a minor inconvenience for the rich

That is some "MAP" ass excuse right there. A lot of predators here justifying their underage fetish by saying "it's LeGaL iN mOsT CoUnTrIEs"

The general idea behind 16 years old being legal is that teenagers don't get into legal shit over relatively minor age differences, particularly when one of them suddenly turns into a legal adult while the other still isn't. If a 17 year old and 16 year old are in a relationship and the 17 year old turns 18 they won't suddenly turn into a predator in the eyes of the law just because they just became a legal adult.

That is often the reason why age of consents is lower than 18 in many civilized nations. The intention is not for creepy AF grown ass-men in their 30s to justify their fetish for underdeveloped underage girls or potential predatory behavior toward them.

Just because 16 is legal doesn't make you people any less weird. Gawking at underage girls is culturally far more frowned upon than bunch of numbers in some out of context statistical page might make it seem, so don't celebrate your status as a "Minor Attracted Person" as something people in the civilized world find acceptable.

Also civilized nation like US still criminalize sex tourism to a nation with a lower age of consent so if it is found out that you went to somewhere to bang 14 year olds where it's legal, you will still get prosecuted for it in your own nation.

No one's worried about the fictional characters. They are worried about the people who find depictions of underage girls, specifically because they are underage, to be alluring. Whether the character they are attracted to is fictional or not, it still shows that this non-fictional individual prefers characters presented as underage girls.

You always find a few self reporting cases like that in threads like these.

And yes whether you have morals can be something that is out of your control. Can a psychopath have morals? They understand the idea, but many of them haven't developed the kind of emotional response to moral concepts that is necessary to have a sense of morality.
