It's a 25% damage boost in the long run. The only problem is that you lose consistency; it's entirely possible for your big single attacks to keep missing. It really favours multi-hit attacks. Works really well with Maelle's Fleuret Fury and Lune's Mayhem.
I also imagine that it'll lose its effectiveness eventually due to the 9999 damage cap.
