Did the production team switch writers? Why is there such a drastic drop in writing quality between the two parts? Especially the transition from Chapter 1 to Chapter 2—it’s unbearably dull.
(I don’t care about cast changes or killing off main characters; the issue is that the writing feels amateurish, like a rookie author’s work.)

The issue is that this shift serves no meaningful purpose and lacks the strong characterization seen in the prologue.
It genuinely feels like a forced narrative device to bridge two disconnected plots. The core problem—and my main concern—is that the storytelling’s aesthetic and writing quality appear to be deteriorating in a concerning direction.

For the surface-level aesthetic of this narrative, a far stronger reference would be Roadside Picnic—not writing that insists on over-explaining everything while failing to execute it competently.

I am still waiting for something to happen in the story. Super strong start then 15 hours of nothing except pointless talking that goes nowhere.

On another note, I am almost certain everyone is a psychopath, nobody blinks at all

lol，let’s hope the dev team wrote the latter half of the story first and then hastily cobbled together the first two chapters—if so, at least their next project could turn out great.

Problem for me is that nothing happens between the first 30 minutes and what you are describing, just lots of talking that leads nowhere.
