Parry/Dodge not working as intended?
I think its not clear how to parry or dodge correctly i miss a lot and i get angry :c its too dificult or its inconsistent?

they are working fine for me exept sometimes lag input, that is how should to be just hard

yea i press parry and it does nothing most of the time
It's just hard. Not impossible, well for some people it might be.
the windows for it do vary which I'm not sure if that supposed to happen or not. I spent like 20min testing it. I used a frame counter, an on screen stop watch, controller button remapper so you can see what frame the button is being pressed and slowed it down to 10% speed with cheat engine. There is variance in the size of the windows and when they start/end for even the same attacks. They don't always line up with the visual/audio que. I'm not sure if this is just coded this way or it's happening because of DLSS/nvidia reflex

it has nothing to do with being "hard". its a horrible implementation, you either have parry/dodge or you explain that it doesnt work well. im just glad this game has an amazing story and visuals but they gotta fix that issue
Parry/Doge works fine, but the feedback on missed parry/doges is horrible. There's some enemies where it took a lot of guesswork where the parry/doge window is.
Dodging is way easier than parry, maybe try to get that down first? I think the response time is pretty good even though I still miss a fair bit. But after you wander around and level it gets really easy anyways. In normal that is, not brave enough for hard.
Dodge is the learning tool, dodge new patterns first unless you're confident. If you can get the timing for perfect dodge down you more or less have parry down. You can also mix the two if you mess up a parry early in a combo so you don't get as off rhythm since the dodge is way more forgiving.

Jump is a joke as long as you hit the right button
I agree. Dodge has its purpose. I use it for fights where i may die in 1-2 hits. I use Parry for fights where getting hit doesn't matter. The windows are wonky for parry, but if parrying was too easy you'd never dodge.

getting hits always matters on the highest difficulty level..... so dodge is the usual way to play i guess
Someone in another thread mentioned the parry timing are story-0.35, expedition-0.15, expert-0.15. I'm pretty Sure expedition is a typo and should have been .25 lol. Regardless there is a mod that doubles the parry timing and makes it feel much better.
