Dodge and parrying window time is EXTREMELY low and fast. Sometimes mob/boss dont even "telegraph" or have a windup time
Then dodge if you cant parry. Dodge window is wider than parry. No need to ruin your experience
Like the previous person said. As you progress through the game enemies will try and juke you with slower attacks, tricks and wind ups. The game will even throw some jump attacks in the mix as well. Increasing your parry window isn't gonna help you if you are having trouble with the basics.
In games like khazan the parry window is before the attack lands, just to artificially complicate it. In this game you parry the attack roughly as it lands; it's one of the few games with parrying I've played where you can actually react to the visual.
Bosses only have a few different combos/attacks they cycle through, they're visually distinct AND the game tells you which one is coming.

I'm playing on expert, though, so I think the parry window is tighter. Maybe on Normal you can parry really early and still land it consistently.
