How to go back?

I've overextended a bit and need to level up before proceeding. But without fast travel options, do I really have to backtrack through all the areas, or is there a faster way to go somewhere? Thanks!

It depends where are you but noo, you need to go to dungeons and use flag fast travels.
On world map there are interacive objects that make shourtcuts but not that many

You get a mount for world map later.

You can fast travel in the respective areas but you cannot travel between Hubs, Gotta go back to the main map and go back to said area and access the closest flag.

For everything they did right, this is an decision i hope is revisited for adjustment.

Thank you. I can't access any areas from the continent map, I can zoom in and read their names, but not do anything else. What am I missing?

You have to go the a dungeon to enter them, but there are small standing stones on the world map. These create bridges to earlier areas. With this for example you dont have to go through flying waters to get back to the srating area.

Thank you, I'll try that. Haven't done many dungeons so far, and not noticed the standing stones...
