Catapult Sakapatate - how to avoid his final strike?
The game doesn't give me hints on how to counter some enemies actions. For example in the end Catapult Sakapatate moves forward and explodes. I tried to dodge, to parry, to jump - I still take damage. Is there a special combo to counter this final strike or maybe i just can't figure out the right moment?

It certainly isn't a jump - jumps are always shown very clearly with a sign. Logically, there is no point in parrying, so I've never even tried. I think I've dodged it, but can't be sure that I remember correct.

It's just a normal parry. It runs up, hesitates briefly, then does a final lunge into the party. You parry during that lunge, toward the end of it because the animation is relatively lengthy.

It can be dodged/parried. You just don't have the timing down. It's a tough one to get, so I recommend sticking to dodging for it since that's more forgiving timing-wise, and since the fight should be over once he falls and explodes, so there's no need to worry about getting AP or countering.
You mean when it dies ?

I also haven't managed to dodge it a single time. Maybe it's just some unavoidable damage who knows
Yes when it dies... i tried different timings, i guess the window is too small on that one.

When it get up in front of your party it will lift up and then you will hear a sound like time slowing down, that is your queue to press dodge

THIS WORKS PERFECTLY!

I was like 0 for 10 until I read your tip and first try I got it perfect!

Thank you so much!
You can do both parry or doge, just wait a bit after he makes the sound when he starts to fall near you.

It's dodge able. Very few attacks in the game aren't. If you're missing dodges and parries, 90% of the time you're going too early.

Sound cues can be very helpful for some attacks. There are other attacks you will find later that use this exact same sound cue as well, and the exact same "timing".
