You're confusing reaction speed with timing window.
Hitting a musical beat on the 4th beat has to do with timing, pressing a button as quick as a prompt is seen is reaction.
If you have a somewhat slower reaction time you just hit the button earlier because this isn’t really a reflex test, it’s a visual or audio memory test
Is there any way to double-check the mod is actually loaded and active? I copy the files as instructed, and I assume it's working, but there doesn't seem to be any outward sign one way or the other (want to check I'm not just placebo-effect-ing myself).
Last time I played I tried with Headphones+turned the music down and could finally see what people were talking about, so that's neat.
It'd be cool if just this cue could be isolated and increased.
Either by a patch or a mod perhaps; I'd rather not have to mute this game's awesome soundtrack
Yeah you can simply pay attention to the enemies animation, but that means that usually you'd have to at least get hit once to get the timing right
Wich i find very strange since there IS a QTE indicator anyways when YOU make attacks, so why not have one for dodge/parry?
Now its true that you get the hang of it eventualy, but thats one hell of a learning curve, wich is worse when some attacks cannot be dodge and need to be parried or vice versa.
I have hearing issues and how loud this game is with everything else, I have NEVER heard it.
There's no actual indicator in game or anything you'll just have to believe it's working
I only went for the "slightly easier" mode, that sets medium difficulty the same window as standard easy difficulty... but I can't tell whether or not it's working. Sometimes it feels pretty lenient, other times I swear I hit dodge precisely on an attack beat and still get hit.
I'd at least like to understand what sort of alignment the reaction window has to the animation beats... if it's 0.3 seconds - is that 0.3 seconds leading up to an attack, 0.35 second from the attack onwards, or 0.15 before and 0.15 seconds after?
