I thought this game was great, until I realized Sweet baby created it.
"Sandfall emphasizes diversity and inclusion, encouraging applications from marginalized backgrounds. The studio is based in a renovated mansion in Montpellier, fostering a creative and collaborative environment."

In Act 3, it’s revealed Lumière and most characters (e.g., Gustave, Lune) are part of a magical "Canvas," a painted world created by the Dessendre family (Renoir, Aline, Alicia) to cope with their son Verso’s death and Alicia’s disfigurement. Maelle, a key character, is Alicia in the Canvas, escaping her real-world pain.
After defeating the Paintress, who tried to balance the Canvas, the Monolith shatters, dusting Lumière’s people. In a final battle, players choose between:
Verso’s Ending: Play as Verso to destroy the Canvas, forcing Alicia to face reality. Epilogue shows her family grieving at Verso’s grave, with Alicia letting go of her Canvas friends, accepting loss.

Maelle’s Ending: Play as Maelle to preserve the Canvas, letting Alicia live in fantasy. Verso fades, and Maelle persists in the Canvas, but Alicia’s real body decays, hinting at her doom.

1. Verso's Ending (Considered the Good Ending):

The player chooses to fight as Verso against Maelle in the final battle.
After defeating Maelle, she begins to vanish.
The scene shifts to the Dessendre household where the real family is grieving Verso's death.
The memorial scene signifies the family's acceptance and attempt to move on.
2. Maelle's Ending (Considered the Bad Ending):
The player chooses to fight as Maelle against Verso in the final battle.
After defeating Verso, he vanishes, pleading with Maelle (actually Alicia in the real world) to stop the boy from painting the canvas.
Verso's spirit, represented by the boy, is keeping the canvas alive, preventing him from truly resting.
Alicia struggles with whether to leave this fake world or stay with a part of her brother.
The scene ends with Alicia sitting by herself, while the boy continues painting, and then fades to black.
A voiceover from Maelle asks, "If you could grow old, would you find a reason to smile?".
The final scene shows a theater, with Verso performing on stage, suggesting Alicia repainted him into the world.
The ending credits roll.

Heres the story. Enjoy it

Please post evidence so I can post this everywhere.

Got the information from someone who told me it was. based off the game was made by Ex-Ubisoft devs the creators of (sweet baby). (un-named) so it could or could not be prior sweet baby developers. I found out no official involvement. If it was its hidden. Could or could not be I guess. But developers who did work for a company that created sweet baby worked on the game. So who knows what the truth is.

The ex ubisoft devs creating this game seems suspicious. I think they hid it to get sales.

https://www.gamesradar.com/games/rpg/speechless-clair-obscur-expedition-33-the-first-game-from-a-studio-filled-with-ex-ubisoft-devs-is-officially-the-best-rated-game-of-2025/

Who was developers fired from Ubisoft? Sweet baby devs. Who created this game? Fired devs from Ubisoft. So I see where they're making a connection.
All "ex Ubisoft devs" proves is that the people at Ubisoft can actually make some really good stuff when they aren't forced to sweatshop the FarCreed formula all the time.

You male main character gets killed off a quarter of the way into the game to let your little sister "the girl who is the key to everything" take center stage.

Not really surprising they kill off the single white man you can play at 25% into the game. lmao they love it. I know exactly who this was created by.

This is what happens when your only knowledge of a game is through spoilers leaked in Steam forums. You make posts like this to bait people, and it just digs a deeper, dumber hole because you are patently and objectively wrong. Since you haven't played the game and know nothing about it, I'll help you out:

Gustave is replaced immediately by another very white character voiced by the equally as white Ben Starr. Gustave himself gets revived in the late game. The primary antagonist of the game is male, and the story is not about gender dynamics, but the ethics of policing one's own creations. The focus on Maelle/Alicia is incidental; it has nothing to do with the fact she's a girl, just that she's representative of something more powerful.

You can bait stupid people into arguments, but to the people that actually played the game, you just look dumb.

Where exactly did you take this quote from? I've been looking at their website and couldn't find any mentions of "diversity and inclusion".

No where. The only hit on Google is this thread.
Just people making ♥♥♥♥ up as per usual.

Two hours in and your pathetic attempt at award fishing yields nothing OP. Time to move on.

I said I didn't want awards and I didn't get awards you see how that works? This wolf rules his den. Go back to your pen with the other sheep.
The only thing more pathetic than fishing for awards is doing so and calling yourself a wolf.
You failed, take the L and move on.

Maybe that just me but.... who care ? let say the game was made by them, Why should I care if the game is good ?
Maybe you don't care, but many of us do.

If you don't care, what are you doing on this thread then? Clearly, it should be of no interest to you then? What are you doing wasting your ,oh so valuable time, in a thread talking about something you don't care about?
holy crap, this is some of the most obvious bait I've ever seen :lunar2019crylaughingpig:
This game has nothing woke on it, actually, it may get hate from "wokes" given the fact that all characters are good looking (including npcs), all major characters are white, you can literally unlock swimsuit skins, there is no mention of anything LGBT related, all female characters are super feminine... It really feels like the game was made by a Japanese company.
I'm surprised OP got banned. O_O

He lied so hard even the lenient local mods had to slap him with a ban.
Did some research:

Sweet Baby Games List (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweet_Baby_Inc.)
No mention of Sanfall Interactive or Expedition 33.

Looked at Sandfall's Team: https://www.sandfall.co/
No mention, surprise, of Sweet Baby. The team is a French development team that many had left Ubisoft.

Otherwise good spoilers on that post. Class act, this one.
How do you know anything about gaming and not realize anything Sweet Baby touches turns to $%#%#. They are a company of HARD left activists who take games and literally inject politics and political ideology, makes sure there are gay characters everywhere even when they only make up 3 percent of the population. Its a long laundry list of crap they insert into games and this has been a huge story for years. Just look at the disaster list that is Sweet Baby games.

It is so sad when I see posters try to argue fair points and you have this new generation of gamers that cannot handle anything, especially opposing views. NO, you dont block them or report them for simply stating ideas. You argue their points, if you can, or you ignore it.
