Movement in this game is way too janky for the level of precision that Parkour requires.

It's not fun to fail and start all over when it's not the player's fault.
Character gets stuck in weird stutter when landing on the moving floating platform.
Then the platform starts to move away, meanwhile character is still stuck in place in weird landing stutter animation.
Then, just like in a cartoon, the platforms moves from under the character while he's stuck in place and just falls into the water.

I really don't understand why controller input games need to have platformer sections that require such level of precision, with poor autosnap.
Most frustrating part is can't even switch to M+K because half the time my jump inputs don't get registered on keyboard.

I only completed the first one so far, but I can imagine future ones will be worse.

Argghhh, that parkour is so frustrating, it doesn’t work like Assassin Creed games. I mean you run, jump to next log, roll into the water. It’s too damn tricky that I left it.

While yes the parkour can be jank, the fact that it is very seldom and honestly not that hard after a bit of practice shows that it didn't need much else added to it. Honestly surprised at how strong and forgiving the ledge grabbing is. Even managed the Gestral tower climb first try!

Reminds me of only up (also since they use default UE5 animations for a lot of things, it shares a lot of animations with only up too).

There's at least 1 platform in the game that I simply couldn't jump on, because my character would roll and fall off, every single time. In the end I did it with a very short jump to not land on the platform, but hit the edge and grab onto it.

Yeah, in the Only Up minigame I fell but landed halfway through instead of falling all the way down. Then my character did the landing roll and fell further all the way into the water.

ha ha imagine uninstalling for optional side content thats there just for giving u swimsuits . i suck at platforming and i somehow managed to finish it . not saying it was fun but it was just some silly side content for free cosmetics that u can totally ignore if u dont like it. but people do play only up and its for people like that.
(for me doing those platforming on controller was too hard and i was able to finish it on mnk) only up one took me way longer and the reward was def not worth the effort but i did it anyway for the steam achievement.

Doing a roll after a jump is like one of the most annoying things in expedition33. That one single thing wasn't tested well.
