For those that struggle with Parrying/Dodging
There's a mod on Nexus Mods that can increase the parry/dodge window by 2x or even 3x.

Just letting you guys know.

I also recommend Normal or Easy mode, as opposed to Hard "Expert"

I usually play on hard, but Expert is going to be for a second play through. This game requires learning each enemy to survive and is just frustrating on a first play through.
The game did give a good tip in the loading screen aspects of the experience that pointed out you can use the more forgiving Dodge ability while you learn the attack patterns of certain mobs and, once you've internalised that information, you can move onto the more challenging Parry mechanic and start laying down the hurt. That's how I'm dealing with the 'git gud' aspect of mastering parrying anyway 🙂

Plus for the record once you unlock some healing skills you can make up for missing some parries and dodges.

Yep. And pump up vitality/defense (I exclusively put two points in vit and one point in def early levels).

Finally the game will play like it should've been from the start. Again users do devs work for them smh.

I would argue the game starts getting better by then. Once Gustave gets his broken 50% heal and Lune's aoe heal and revive. Put some on attribute on health and you're golden.
Clair really does have a hard beginning though which I can understand why some people get mopped into the threads.
So you recommend cheats? Thanks for the advice never occurred to me that I can mod the game in my favor when im struggling.

What's next? Giving yourself 9 billion runes in elden ring to go max level if you are struggling? That's thinking put of the box right there.

Why are you up in arms about way people play their SINGLE-player games? It shouldn't concern you in any way yet here you are, so angry and upset.

First of all I'm not angry. Second of all everybody knows you can cheat to win single player games. What's the point of making a click bait title pretending you are gonna give legitimate advice and then telling people to mod their games.

Please use logic.

Are you for real? That solution actually solves the problem, unlike idiotic 'gid gud, skills issue' replies or advice to listen for some non-existent 'whoosh'.

Same, that's how I'm learning the game. If you have the Dodger pictos and get it up to Lumina status then you can have all of your characters equipped with it, a must have passive if you like to play the long-game and buildup AP.

Your brain is fried. If you need to be told that you can use cheats to bypass single player games especially when there's a story mode option then I don't know what to tell you.

yikes
Cool.

I think the best and most logical thing a person could do is to simply lower the difficulty, like you mentioned at the end. And should also be the first question asked when someone is complaining about it. "What difficulty are you playing on?"

There's no shame in lowering the difficulty. I played God of War on a difficulty or two below the hardest one. That's literally the purpose of multiple difficulties. To give everyone a choice instead of forcing them to play something too easy or too hard.
