Those are good numbers.
For a single player game with day one gamepass release.

Also going against Oblivion Release, both are on Gamepass too.

It's just like 4/5 of 30 devs. A full Ubisoft team wouldn't be able to work on something like this.

Why is that? A full team of good devs coming from Ubisoft wouldn't suddenly become bad just because of where they used to work.

I was just joking, but it's true that is only 4 or 5 devs.

As soon as it gets nominated for the GOTY in the next few months, sales will explode.

Was curious so I looked it up myself. I as a bit disappointed and sad that Clair Obscur's numbers were lower than 100k (But may thankfully reach it on its first weekend) but I was also surprised that Oblivion's was that low, was expecting it to achieve 200-300k players on Steam alone by now (Only at 190k).

Both available on Gamepass and both lacked the hype before release. I personally had Expedition 33 on my wishlist since last year but many people are just knowing about the game thanks to word of mouth. Oblivion was super weird, they just dropped the game without any marketing.

I think those are good numbers for both, I mean, people were saying AC Shadow was a success and the numbers on Steam didn't matter because it was available on UBI's service too and both Expedition 33 and Oblivion did better numbers than Shadows while being on a much more popular gaming service. They also need a nice PC, especially Oblivion.
I was honestly concerned with how good this would be since it was like $45 and on discount for months before release but I can see I was worried for nothing. This is probably gonna be my Game of the Year unless Doom the Dark Ages is way better than it looks.

Do you know if the new Doom game is still heavily focused on arena combat?

I really don’t know. I’ve tried to not watch all the showcases but from what I’ve seen it does look a bit more like moving through levels. But I could be completely wrong. Trying not to spoil too much for myself.
