So is this Legend of Dragoon 2 or what?
It was marketed as a turn-based game and here I see people talking about parries and dodges. In a turn-based game.
There was one game like that all the way back, called Legend of Dragoon, and I HATED it.
I absolutely don't do the whole QTE in turn-based games, who though it's a good idea 30 years later?

Apparently many people like it, it is the highest rated game of 2025 so far

I like it because it adds some mechanical skill to the strategy of a turn based game, makes it more engaging

Take it or leave it

Hated LoD. SIR! Take your post and your opinion and go play starfield. >_>
The nerve... still waiting for a remaster of LoD :'(

Nah, I really love the combat.
If this game is just an orthodox turn-base RPG, I would have leave it.

There is a good reason it didn't get a sequel or a follow up or a clone... Until now I guess.

Yeah because it's anti-woke and has beautiful poster girl. Good marketing campaign, not gonna argue there.

Legend of Dragoon and this game are certainly not unique in having this sort of mechanic. It's not like it's some thing from 30 years ago that died out. Many, many JRPGs up to this day use timed hit and defense mechanics.

I am absolutely not going to get into a discussion on wokeness itself in this topic but this statement is false.

Check out a project called Severed Chains. Fans are basically reverse engineering and improving LoD.

To be fair. People have been bugging sony for over a decade for a remaster or sequel.
I think the original writer/creator died though, and thats partly why nothings been heard.
That and sony retarted. sigh.

Oh I popped out an odins eye sometime ago watching the progress.
But thank you for the share ^_^
Hated LoD? Opinion irrelevant, poor taste.

This game doesn’t deserve to be mentioned beside Legend of Dragoon, how dare you! They stole the battle system and added it to defense. Still not as good as LoD however.

Some of us are still waiting 😅 add Xenogears to the mix. Who do we need to bribe to make it happen?!

Just because you dislike it doesn't mean others do. It's not the games fault people dislike early PS1/PS2 RPG with QTE elements. Legend of Dragoon, Chrono Chross, and Shadow Hearts were some of the best RPGs out there.

Oh it'll come out by 2075 when my eyes are too shotty to see the buttons and PlayStation is called PS-universe. lmao.
