pls add a map
I really love this game so far and I'm having an absolute blast playing it, but what’s REALLY missing is a map. Please consider adding one in a future patch. The areas are truly beautiful but often look quite samey within themselves, and I just spent a good 30 minutes wandering aimlessly around Flying Waters before I finally found the exit. There’s so much to explore and a lot of branching paths, but for the number of options you have, there just aren’t enough remarkable landmarks to properly orient yourself without a map, which can be really frustrating. I'm sure not everyone feels this way, but I definitely do, and I’m probably not the only one. Other than that, I truly love the game, keep up the good work! <3

It's one of the most basic QoL features and should not be missing...

There is one.
They have a map, in the open world. You don't have one in areas because for the most part, they are linear.
I think the devs said they didn't want a map to keep the spirit of exploration. It's annoying but you get used to it.

I mean you would think in a game called expedition 33, where there are 67 prior expeditions that you collect notes from and some of which are meant to resolve *very* specific problems (a "climber's expedition"? really?) one of them would be about mapping the place.
Map comes at certain point in the game.

I map would be nice I guess, maybe? maybe it ruins it, I'm not sure, I'm fine either way I guess, but I do have these moments like ''wait, was I here already? hmmm, where am I, I think I've been here.... maybe? hold up, let's back track a bit''

Just pay attention and it's a non-issue. Enjoy the scenery, vibes, and the exploration. You don't have to always min/max exploring while staring at a map 100% of the time.

Even if there hadn't been any prior mapmaking, what stops your current team from making their own map? It's not a new concept, having a map being drawn in as you explore an area. There is no good excuse for not having *some* kind of ingame map feature.
Id say in the overworld and Gestral Village it would be fine to do a small minimap after collecting enough expedition journals, but everywhere else it would ruin the sense of exploration

follow the lights in the world for critical path.. go off track away from the lights for side stuff. use your brain and eyes a bit and look at the beautiful environment not everything needs to be spelled out for you

Yep, one of the biggest flaws in the game so far.

People complaining about something that was announced will never be funny.

Just because it was announced doesn't mean it can't be criticised.
Yeah, the visuals can be a bit overwhelming and a map could help get your bearings, its not a big deal but a couple of times i got turned around and ended going backwards, some areas are worse than others.

I'm worried about collectibles and minibosses, do the game mark them down in some way so you can look later on and be like ''oh yeah that guy'' and go back for it?
