Not everything is about sex. Her age is good to know as context to the story and her character, you know? Hell, it's pretty damn relevant considering the story premise and how she doesn't fall into the usual categories of people joining the expeditions.

Also, illogical California or even the USA itself isn't the norm. Game is from France.

She'd die from gommage 9 years later when she'll be 25, as the paintress would paint 24 on the monolith. She'd be 24 when the paintress would paint 25.

Her gommage is in 9 years meaning that the paintress will be painting 33-9=24. Since Maelle still has 9 years to go, she is 24-9=15 years old.

I think maelle is too old for his taste. Look at that first pic in his profile. He is into 4yo

Maelle is a Character in Clair Obscur Expedition 33. Maelle, at 16, joins the Expedition not to save Lumière, but to escape it, seeking freedom, self-discovery, and a life beyond the city that never felt like home. Characters are various members and allies of Expedition 33 who are on a quest to stop the "Paintress" from painting death. These characters are mainly party members who can fight in combat and explore the world of wonders inspired by Belle Époque France.

Orphaned at age 3, Maelle has never felt at home in Lumière. She has difficulty connecting with and trusting others, but has come to appreciate her foster brother Gustave. At 16 years of age, Maelle is significantly younger than the other Expeditioners. Unlike them, she views the Expedition as her chance to explore the world beyond Lumière and finally forge her own destiny.
