Dodge/Parry sucks
Sorry, don't care if it's been brought up a million times...

Brought up a million times for a reason. It sucks. Its not fun. It doesn't add ANYTHING of value to that game except the user's eyes glued to the screen waiting to tap a button to not lose. It's stupid. It's lazy. Its uninteresting.

I'd rather be forced into the quick time cancer on my attack versus being forced into the quick time cancer on my defend turn.

It's just corny

Skill issue little brother
It doesn't suck at all, it's pretty fun.
I like the qte, it made it more enjoyable and exciting than the usual turn based combat.
there is picto that give +1AP per hit (enemy you) but no AP when parry, there are waepons that scaling with vitality and defence and you can grind
parry and dodge is not for you, ok just adapt and overcome it

ohh and Maelle 3rd party member have skill "egida" soo she can tank dmg

soo yes it is skill issue
A way I've learned to deal with it for some enemies, is watch for their attack to flash. Specifically the starter enemies light up when they are about to hit. Later enemies, it is just trial and error. Running around on expert mode, you either learn to parry/dodge, or die xD.
All these skill issue trolls need to jump off a cliff.

People are allowed to not like certain mechanics for various reasons.

The dodge/parry system is awful for a lot of people. Maybe take two seconds to realize that just because you can do something easily doesn’t mean everyone else can or should.
fair but i find it to make it more interesting than typical turn base games

Everyone likes something different. Personally I like traditional turn based games. I don't play turn based games because I like having to react quickly. Defeats the entire purpose of being turn based. Might as well just be action based. I'll be passing on purchasing this game because of this 'feature'.

If they were going to implement something like this in a turn based combat system they should have included an alternative setting to disable it without combat penalties.
The problem is if they make the defensive qtes automatic, you literally can't be harmed.

It's unfortunate, because those of us that don't really want to use the qte system have to either play on a brain dead difficulty, or get one shot from not getting a dodge/parry. Even on story mode, not dodging will get you killed for some bosses.

Nah, it's fine.

You got to jump in Mario, learn when to shoot in Mega Man and DOOM, and figure out button timings in this.

Game might not be for you.

All these dodge/parry suck trolls need to LEARN HOW TO PLAY.

it always work in both sides.

I agree 100%.
I suck really bad at it. Like REEEEEEEEALY BAD! The mime killed me twice. Then another thing killed me several times. And then.... I started learning the patterns. I still failed. So I tried again. I won. Then I turned it off and took the dog for a walk to reset my frustration level. Then I died some more....

This is all before reaching the dude in act 1 you can speak to and wants you to find his light.

This game is going to take my old concussion-riddled brain a long time to finish, and I'm here for it!
