this is an RPG that is NOT japanese, and the trailer seems to confirm that this game lacks any kind of charm or humor or cuteness.

I am detecting bad ren faire music, bad english voice acting, and everyone taking everything super seriously, with zero humor.

Am I wrong?

correct. but there needs to be actually charming humor to break up the tedium, as in all great japanese rpgs.

You're 100% incorrect. I've laughed out loud several times.. I'm actually surprised by the irreverence of the writing. There are many moments where it doesn't take itself too seriously. (Like a turtle boss that can't move and gets violent and rawrs, but bc he can't move nothing happens, and the party just looks at each other and shrugs)

Also watch the character trailers. Like Monoco. Even in the trailer it makes a goof of itself.
