Can anyone explain the Letters on Weapons?

I see letters and +1 or +2 near those letters, what does that mean? i tried checking the tutorial guides but couldn't find anything related to that.

it is like in dark souls: the letter gives you a grade of how much weapon scales with particular attribute. S is the best, than A, B, C... (the better the letter, the better it scales with that attribute). the number +1, +2... tells you how much bonus to damage you get from that attribute. for example, if you have vitality 20 and one weapon scales S with vitality and other D, the S one will give your damage +10 and D will give you only +2 (these are made up numbers, i don't know how much it actually gets you). so you can pick your weapon based on attributes it scales best with. but it's the only one part of choosing the right weapon, some have good passives, some are better leveled up... just experiment and have fun!

It shows the attributes that affect attack power for that weapon and by how much they affect it, with an S rank being the highest. Without them only might boosts attack power, with those letters a couple other attributes can also boost attack power. If you have a +1 or +2 there that means your current level of that attribute is giving a +1 or +2 attack power with that weapon.
