I have the same gpu and no problems.
Maybe try using DDU to reinstall drivers. Also update your chipset/motherboard drivers.

You have problem in this game for some reason when others on amd gpus don’t. So something seems to be wrong on your side. It can be something like damaged driver by some windows update.

any time i have had driver issues they have only affected one game , and if its giving you the message that the driver is timing out i think theres little doubt the root of the issue here ;)

now it maybe as this is a brand new game a driver update will come and fix this issue

but i would still recommend first thing to do is a fresh install use the amd removal tool from
https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/faqs/GPU-601.html
or DDU if you prefer

then you can use the auto feature to reinstall the current ones or get an older version from
https://www.amd.com/en/support/downloads/previous-drivers.html/graphics/radeon-rx/radeon-rx-7000-series/amd-radeon-rx-7900-xtx.html

i would recommend 24.12.1 is the last WHQL recommended and as you have an xtx and im using it and its stable for me in this game

What I mean is that there are people with the same setup who don’t have any problems what strongly suggests the problem is avoidable/fixable.
I am using 25.3.2 (The Last of Us 2) driver and so far I have had no issues.

I hate people who try to help like this based on assumptions. This is a widespread issue, I have the same gpu and keep crashing every 5mins. Its not easily fixable either since many people still haven't fixed it and are waiting on a patch.

I didn’t say it’s easy as I have no idea. I try to give some hope that not everyone is affected. That the problem is at least avoidable. It also may not be related to the gpu but rather something else entirely.
There was a common problem with „out of VRAM memory” error with Nvidia cards that was caused by some Intel CPUs.

I just fixed it after hours of trying everything. For me, it was an AMD driver issue. Had to roll back my driver to a version from February, now I can finally play the game. I was just hesitant to do that because I didn't want any other recent games I play to break with the old driver.
A common issue can be shader compilation. That's why driver version can matter so much. The developers test the latest edition of driver packages some time before release, get the game working okay with that, then AMD, Nvidia, etc update the driver package and then the game becomes incompatible until either the developer and/or GPU vendor makes everything good again.

Another issue with shaders can be with if you have Steam download shaders meant to be compatible with your system, but they're really not, and there's no reason to have Steam handle shaders anyway, so it should be turned off in the settings, but I think it defaults as enabled.
