QTE's?
I played the prologue and part of Act I on gamepass and liked it so much I went ahead and bought on Steam. After, wards I had some concerns though?

Does anyone who has played well into the game know if the QTE's and being good with them are critical to progressing in the game. I'm not that great at them and really don't enjoy them, but again, I liked the game so much that I bought it anyway.

you can use the option "auto complete QTE"

Which only affects your attack QTE and not parry or dodge, which makes sense don't take me wrong. But the attack events aren't even bad, its the impossible parry timings. Playing on hard (My issue i know) it takes like 30 to 50 attempts to learn timings every single time new enemy comes. Every single attack so far apart from one ice spell coming from ground, has insane delays. They charge their attacks and waits for seconds (which also feels likes its random duration, maybe not but it feels like it) and then suddenly boom you are dead. less than a 50ms to react.
Put it on easy and things hit for less damage. The dodge window is also fairly generous, and there's some early picto's which make dodging pretty effective.

On "Normal" and especially "Expert" difficulty mastering the parry and dodge QTE are pretty much a requirement because you will be one shotted by bosses otherwise quiet often.
On "Story" difficulty you can get away with missing most of them and the timing window is a lot more generous.

So basically select brain dead difficulty with zero challenge, or get fked? Theres no middle ground? Like lets say you could miss 60% of the dodges and still live?

Pretty disappointing information. I may have to play the Gamepass version a little longer to make up my mind.

Can you tell me if the progress is transferred to steam? I also really like it and want to buy it

You can miss timings in normal mode and still make it out as long as you're not missing literally all of them.
is the auto QTE normal or perfect?

The middle ground is called normal difficulty. Like, you own the game just try out the different difficultys. And if you can't handle normal than maybe you need to use the "brain dead difficulty" as you called it.

I'm not sure about this but in Shadow Hearts there was an auto QTE for the Judgement Wheel that did the median amount of damage instead of getting 'perfect' full damage.

Gtfoh with your passive-aggressive ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. This is the Steam forums. Believe it or not they're for asking and getting information like this, not ♥♥♥♥♥ about the latest game being woke or not.

Ah thats good, from what ive seen people have said that normal mode still haves mandatory dodge or die system.

Thanks. That's what I was hoping but wanted to get some feedback on. I don't have any need to play on hard or above, just wanted to be sure I could progress on normal if I missed some of the parries and dodges.

Why can't anyone make a real turn based game anymore
