No, but a bonfire system that refills potions, allocates stats and respawns enemies leans it pretty heavily towards.
even sonic the hedghog on the sega master system is a soulslike
It's almost like an RPG, with a checkpoint system that allows you to save, and heal your party...
Kind of like 85% of ALL rpg's that do it.
The enemy design is very Elden ring. (One of the first enemies you see is akin to the hand monsters)
The fact that you have to learn enemy patterns is very reminiscent of a souls like. Most turn-based rpgs you have to learn a mechanic but they’re designed to have your characters take damage or learn skills to mitigate that as opposed to button input.
The fact that most enemies WILL kill you if you miss a button input is much more akin to Souls-Like games.
The quick time events and dodging aren’t totally unique as yes, Lost Odyssey was a thing, but the tone of this game is much more akin to Elden Ring.
The Flag system is similar to a bonfire system, the only thing that separates the two is that you don’t lose progress if you die. You just start a little bit before you took that fight. (Albeit the risk of losing progress is a big aspect of soulslike games)
It’s safe to say this is a blend of Souls-Like gameplay and Turn Based RPG. It’s very well done mechanically given the concept.
