I'll be frank, I'm not that good at dodging/parrying, and I'm also getting older now, but I will keep on struggling and adapting to every single fight I'd have to face, and then I will prevail through all of the failures and suffering.
Better yet, they can just NOT parry because it's risk/reward. It literally tells you that. Just dodge it has better timing and is the intended way to survive in this game next to HP/defence. There's no shame. That's like trying to parry everything in souls games and getting mad lmao....
Also I suck at parrying in souls games but can parry in this game because it's SO much more forgiving
I'm pretty bad at parrying too, but I'm still doing it on Expert, while ignoring all of the protective pictos or even vit/def stats

False. A privilege is scarce or something that's hard to obtain. It's a privilege to be able to get advice from a billionaire, when that billionaire doesn't have time to meet with a nobody.

And if you want to play a semantics game. Then this is also really stupid to say. Since basically everything for a game is a design choice.
but that's not what's happening. i don't know if you're aware but you can just NOT play on easy. problem solved. you don't have to take the crutches a game offers you if you don't need them. nobody is forcing you to play on easy. easy mode literally does not affect you. at all. if you do not want it to. it's there for OTHER people.
what you want is exclude those other people from an experience because it's you own special little club, and being part of it is what your pathetic ego hinges on. grow up.
you people were insufferable about the souls games, and you'll also be insufferable about this game. because you have nothing else in your lives except "can press a button really fast". congrats.
You have to understand that some people do like a mental challenge, but when it comes to reflex-based games, people have different reaction speeds. This speed is an inviolable limit of an individual's nervous system. You can't git gud beyond a certain extent. In fact, if you have 150ms reaction speed, you are playing on easy mode compared to someone with a slower nervous system reaction speed of 300ms. Nobody wants to be coddled, many turn-based RPGs are notoriously difficult, but some people just aren't wired to be great at Fruit Ninja style reflex games
Turn-based RPGs naturally attract people who aren't as good with reflex games, but do like to be challenged, so Clair Obscur is weird in this regard
Here's the crux of the real problem though: inclusivity. If you cater too much to those with poor reaction speeds, you'll exclude those with better reaction speeds because it'll be boring. You can't cater to one without alienating the other. I wouldn't even take issue if they decided to open up timings on easy mode, but as long as they don't touch those timings on expert, I'm perfectly happy.
Where this whole argument gets ridiculous are the bold faced claims such as "it's too hard and therefore a broken game" or "this game is broken without a map." Then the whole argument becomes about being excluded whereas that's the nature of most games that aren't extremely hand-holding. So what's the issue? Well, then we get stuff like Horizon FW where Aloy never shuts up about puzzle solutions. We get giant maps with color coded stickers that tell you everywhere to go. You get forced tutorials 40 hours into a game. You get alot of added features that experienced gamers outright reject because now it's no longer fun because the game may as well play itself. Inclusivity is a double-edged sword is my point, and yeah, there's an audience for it, but there's also a big one against all that stuff.
