It's already a GOTY for me.

Even Remastered Oblivion, not good as that.

I'm only a couple hours in, it's at best a 4/10 for me.
Writing is bad, combat QTE's for Parry/Dodge are just killing the combat imo.

The only thing the game has going for it right now are the visuals and some of the voice actors are good (Though their dialogue is not doing anything for me.) The music is nice as well. I could forgive the QTE's if the writing was good.. but the more I pay attention to what is going on, the more holes in the story I'm finding.. and the less relatable the characters become.

Some of the UI systems are also really getting on my nerves. Like not being able to use the tints without being at a camp... and then even when you're in your camp not having any clear place to use them.. and other janky things like that that aren't intuitive in the UI.

I was kinda hoping this game would at least be as good as FFXVI, but it isn't even close sofar. imo.

Im only a couple hours in, and I can see that it would be in the running, just have strong doubts that any game this year will compete with KCD2, which is pretty much the best action RPG since the witcher 3.

Kinda mid for me too I'd give it a 6.5 so far but I'm only a few hours in. was kinda hoping they'd set the stage for the game better at the beginning explaining the world and situation.

Minus some quibbles I have like with the really bad QTE/doge/parry system, it's my GOTY so far, but we have some monsters coming out soon like Silksong and Hell is us that might beat it for me.

The writing is actually pretty great despite what mr Potato says, though I hear the ending kinda falls apart and will be pretty controversial so... let's hope it's not yet another high concept RPG that writes itself into a corner and can't land its ending.

Lol, tons of games will be competing with KCD2. It's a great game but was very boring for a lot of people and not everyone liked its janky combat.

Even games I personally don't care about like Doom Dark Ages will be competing with it. I'd honestly be shocked if KCD2 won GOTY.

they upgraded jrpgs in very nice way with that QWE, story is nice, plot twist, mystery, soundtrack
they didnt invent jrpg or anythink new but this is one of best game i played from years

So far the GOTY is KCD2. I'm actually surprised people are hyping up this game. It's very shallow.

A year has 365 days and we're only in the 4th month. So calling it a GOTY is being overly pessimistic. That being said: GOTY "so far" yes.

Well, I'd still rather hope and be disappointed. Nothing wrong with wanting more games of this quality right?

For me the combat is the best of any action RPG, and more games need it.

There's at least one almost each month. In fact, Doom Dark Ages comes out next month lmao. I don't care about the new DOom game, but still. I don't know what's up with you guys.
