yeah . there is some misconception that steam fixes that somehow for you. other games had the same issue before.
best practice example is FF16 . settings . controller . swap the input.

Steam says this game supports DS. That means either turning Steam Input on or off. (Most of the time, it's turning Steam Input off, but I have two games where full DS feature support requires Steam Input to be on. Seems counterintuitive given what Steam Input does, but there it is. I don't question what works when it works.)
I'd really just like to see permanent ps inputs. Why can they make it compatible for dual sense but not shock?

They are just lazy or ran out of time. It can be easily done in Unreal Engine 5 settings before compiling. They don't even need to support specific controllers. It just need to have an option to change the icons.
Then I changed the title of the file from game.ini to 'game'
Now I have playstation input commands.
