It's refreshing, everyone in the game is normal. This is the game that Final Fantasy XVI should've been. I do find it kinda funny though how every single dude who is important to the story is just a generic Brown haired millennial with a beard. They could've at least had one guy who looked like Seifer from Final Fantasy.

The game takes place in the Belle Époque part of France's history that began after the end of the Franco-Prussian War in 1871 and continued until the outbreak of World War I in 1914.

Diversity didn't exist then, so there's your answer.

I'm more peeved that female characters models look all samey with those crazy big blank eyes and face structure. I know it's indie, but cmon. I couldn't tell who's who between ML's sister, his ex, some npcs and the teenage girl.
