This game have "Une fois par an, la Peintresse se réveille." writen on the store page.
This is pure progressism, because normal French people call a woman that paint a "Peintre".
The word is neutral so it dont change for women or men, but our progressiste love do change word like this. They are the only people that use this kind of word that dont make any sens.
This game was created by ex-Ubisoft devs and is great.
dishonored , the plague tale , Many non-woke games are created by French studios.
Stop seeing wokeness everywhere, especially since this game doesn't even have it. You clearly see a male-female couple right from the beginning.

When you think about games developped in France, you can think of games like
Dishonoured franchise,
Stray,
A Plague Tale franchise,
Northgard,
Wartales,
Detroit: Become human,
Heavy Rain,
Beyond: Two Souls,
and now, Expedition 33 and... The Oblivion remaster, apparently.
PS: BTW, while the studio itself was Japanese, the game director for the current GOTY award ( Astrobot) is also French.
