so how is the journey?
is this an endless sausage of encounters or are you visiting different place on a continent?

Is it in any way comparable with FF10? The never ending cycle of destruction... rebirth... well somehow this was also the theme of mass effect wasn't it?

And is the french version superior to the english voice acting, might be a given isn't it?

Pretty sure it's more "the last gasp of a dying world" than a "never ending cycle of destruction... rebirth".

The game does have normal enemy counters like other traditional turn-based RPGs. You do visit many different areas throughout the game. Didn't play FF10 but the game shares similarities with Rebirth in terms of open exploration. French voice acting is great but not required to play through the game.

does the enemy feel opaque, there isn't really a face to them, just puppets on a string, without a real personality, besides the fear to perish?

I just heard .. no downtime, so go go go go, no chill, FF flair, more like push forward endlessly, maybe paired with cutscene flashbacks

do different landmarks you can visit later on have any value in regard of new npcs?

They're equal. If you're looking for immersion go French due to the setting but the English voice acting is top quality.
As for the environment, very varied.
And that's all I can give you without spoilers.
