i thought this game would be a big flop because the hype was too much and at some point some weird bad-hype started to happen near the release
turns out the game is a massive joy to play and discover with a great battle system and gear system, and the game is actually hard enough for you to justify to use your brain on top of your toe
there is a lot of rant and other useless thread going on, with people complaining about every small nitpick or stuff they're not fit to enjoy
but if the whole game deliver like the first 4 hours, we're in for a massive ride and a new masterpiece
masterpiece often comes out of nowhere kinda, crosscode omori astlibra tunic ....
i'm excited because it really seems to be the first next gen rpg we can finally play after so many years of drought, it's not like ♥♥♥♥♥♥ oblivion could ever come close at this point.
I mean I like quantity but some games in this genre (if not most of them) make you grind for the sake of increasing the number of hours required to complete them.
And from what critics/review said, it's actually not that much lower.
mdr rpgs are quite quick, especially the older ones, in our memories they were 100 hours ass long but in reality they're closer to 40-60 hours range with some favor towar 25h and 100h game, wich becomes more and more rare over the time
this one is labeled as a 60hours one iirc, pretty fair range :)
Atlus has some good ideas and tries it's best with what it's got and when I'm done with this game I'll probably have another go at SMT5.
they do a super good job with that they do but honestly comparied to landing discharge with gustave in this game .... we can only witness the outstanding job they did to make the battle impactful in this game
I also saw some comments about some boss. The parry windows are quite tight and get some getting used to. If you write a review within 2 hours of starting up the game and don't try to learn the timing etc... you're likely to leave a bad review, especially if you went for one of the two optional bosses in the starting area, thinking that they were mandatory.
turns out the boss are super easy and just melt with burn and lose half their life with one gustave's discharge tho
