Controller not working?

I'm playing the game via Xbox gamepass I have my Ps5 controller plugged in through USB C but the game doesn't seem to recognise it. I quickly ran Oblivion remaster through gamepass that recognises the controller.

Sadly dont have a solution, but I have the same exact issue. Downloaded DualSenseX (lite), doesnt help. Overall have a lot of issues with Gamepass game (Lords of the Fallen f.e. has a memory allocation issue, althought I use a 4070, Starfield the same).

I thought maybe adding it as a non-steam game could fix it, but there seems to be no .exe for that.

I have the same problem with an Xbox Controller connected via cable. I can control the Xbox PC App with the controller without issues, but in the game the controller isn’t recognised at all. Managed to start the gamepass version via steam as well, same result.

Guy doesnt know you can use console controllers on a PC

Does it not get recognized at all for you? I am also using a PS5 controller, only had to switch the button icons to PS manually in the game's settings.

One thing I had was that when my mouse was outside of the game the controller inputs do not work, so I just clicked into the game with the mouse and it worked again.

I got it to work now I had to download DS4Windows so now it works with that

Though I cant see the Ps controller buttons it acts like its an Xbox controller

I had that too, you can check that in the game settings.

Hey just figured out, too.

On the DualSenseX software you can choose a xBox 360 Emulation for your PS5 controller. That made it work for me at least for Lords of the Fallen, I assume it will work out for Clair, too.

Having the exact same issue, but with an Xbox controller. None of the other options above have worked for me. Also reset graphics, changed from fullscreen to borderless, all of which have been suggested elsewhere. Still nothing.
