The composer of this game is nothing less than a genius
I've reached the Ancient Sanctuary and every track has been a banger but also quite fitting to the area you're currently exploring.

Agreed, the OST is already shaping up to be a highlight of the game.

The OST is just so incredibly good. It compliments everything on screen so well but is also something I'm going to be listening to at work for a very long time.

The gameplay narative that combines the audio tracks is pure fantastic. Enough to pull on emotional strings. Been awhile since i got pulled by audio within a game.
Is the music better in the game than in launch trailer? I watched only launch trailer, didn't follow the game before, and I find this "village singing" type of ost in fantasy themed games very generic and cringe in many cases. I'm genuinely curious if music is diverse enough to find something closer to my taste and which pulls on emotional strings.

Funnily enough the composer's favorite games are Zelda Majora's Mask, Xenoblade Chronicles, Nier Automata and Hollow Knight according to their website. So that would explain it lol.
from the very beginning of the game you just know you are in store for some amazing music

I was hearing a lot of short sequences here and there of titles I know ... Gloria Gaynor I will survive and so on ...
Maybe it's just a generative database (aka "AI") which is grabbing all the titles by filters on melancholy, piano ... so by the end for sure it will touch your soul.

In a certain fight, it gives a lot of nier/nier automata vibes. I wouldn't be surprise if the composer is a fan of nier series and is inspired from.

Very solid composition. The opera singer sounds like the girl from grissini project (old youtube channel).

Wish I could turn off the vocals though, as it get VERY repetitive, after a while.
