Why this weird name

I feel like the games name keeps holding it back from commercial success. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33...

The name is uninteresting and makes this sound like some weird indie project.

It could be the best game ever but many people simply will never hear about this game because the name is so overly complex nobody will remember it lol

Feel free to disagree but marketing wise I think it was a bad idea

Yeah, like Kain said, it's just a weird naming trope that this genre is known for. Also, it's by French developers. Fitting.

Well, when there's two dots, it usually means they plans on making it a franchise.
The fact that it's clair obscure that is on the left can indicate that it'll be a completely different universe/setting, IF that's the route they plan on taking.

It's kinda like Clear Obscure. Here's a copy paste from a net search..
